Miriam Giugni began her early childhood career as an untrained assistant. She now has an Associate Diploma in Social Science (Child Studies), Bachelor of Education Early Childhood (Honors) and a PhD. She currently teachers at SDN Redfern Children’s Centre and works as Early Childhood Research and Learning Adviser across all SDN Centres. She lectures at the University of Western Sydney and is an independent consultant who presents at conferences nationally. Miriam is passionate about social justice and equity and believes that teaching is an important form of activism.
